Introduction

The grapes for this wine were ripened on the vine until late April when they were hand picked.  The Anniversary Ruby Port 1953-2003 was released just prior to Christmas 2003 to celebrate 50 years since the Smith family purchased Adinfern Farm.  Merv and Jan Smith have farmed the property since 1972 producing prime lambs and wool, with the couple planting their first vines in 1996.

A limited number of bottles of 2003 Anniversary Ruby Port was produced and sold quickly.  In July 2007, we bottled the 2006 Ruby Forte which is now available – this port has Turkish Delight aromas with ripe cherries on the palate.
